This publication is a summary of recommendations stemming from an international meeting of genetically modified (GM) food safety experts from Asia and the Americas. Held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 26 – 28 2013, participants shared their evaluation approaches, identified similarities and challenges, discussed recommendations for improving risk assessment procedures and avenues for future collaboration were also discussed.
