Schedule of sessions and press registration information now available for the
ILSI 2024 Annual Meeting and Science Symposium
WASHINGTON—The International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) has announced that its Annual Meeting, Technologies and Climate Change: Shaking up 21st Century Food Systems – Promises and Pitfalls, will take place in Clearwater, Florida, 21-24 January 2024. ILSI's Annual Meeting will feature scientific presentations, professional development and networking opportunities for researchers, academics, industry leaders, nongovernmental organizations, as well as public sector and early career scientists.
ILSI will host engaging, forward-looking scientific sessions focused on our rapidly changing world and how technologies, such as artificial intelligence, can help or hinder initiatives to ensure foods are safe, nutritious and sustainable. Registrants will learn more about innovations that can provide solutions to the challenges the food industry is being asked to meet to create food manufacturing systems for the future.
Schedule of sessions
While ILSI's Annual Meeting begins on Sunday, January 21, with the ILSI Stakeholder Forum, the scientific sessions and presentations will begin on Monday, January 22 through Tuesday, January 23. The full roster of session co-chairs, presenters and panelists is available on the ILSI website.

Tuesday, January 23, 2024
- 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. EST: Session 3 – Advances in Healthy Aging: Innovative Approaches and Technological Breakthroughs for Promoting Health Span
- 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EST: Session 4 – Artificial Intelligence: Enhancing Food Supply, Nutrition and Health into the Future
- 1:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. EST: Session 5 – Food Safety and Nutrition: Current and Future Trends in the Context of Global Climate Change and Sustainability Initiatives
- 3:05 p.m. - 4:35 p.m. EST: Session 6 – Climate-Resilient Soil Management Strategies
In addition to these scientific sessions, ILSI's 2024 Annual Meeting will get its start with a special presentation on the USDA's new Science and Research Strategy by Deirdra N. Chester, PhD, RDN, Director in the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS/OSEC) at the USDA. Following her presentation will be the keynote speaker, John G. Keogh, M.B.A., M.Sc., from Shantalla Insight Partners LLC, who will discuss the role of technologies in improving nutrition, food safety and food systems.
