The ILSI India K-FFIG Seminar on “Gut Microbiome and Neurodegeneration: Can Functional Foods Be the Key?” will critically examine and discuss how Functional Foods might help prevent and manage these conditions through strengthening “Gut Microbiome”, and discuss whether more research is needed in this promising area This Seminar will be held on 23rd June at New Delhi in Hybrid Mode.

To address these issues, the Asian Life Sciences Institutes Network (ALSIN), co-organized with ILSI Global, will host a conference to discuss the latest advancements, regulatory updates, and strategies in food allergy prevention and management.

About the event
Food allergies pose a significant health risk to millions globally and remain a primary public health concern. At the upcomingFood Allergen Asia Conference, government regulators and the food industry will be able to learn and discuss the latest FAO/WHO studies, scientific guidance, and policy recommendations that will impact international standards, regulations, and beyond. Explore the changes to the development of global priority allergen lists, allergen thresholds, and robust risk assessment frameworks that form the backbone of food allergen management and control worldwide. Stay abreast of pressing issues such as precautionary labeling, regionally significant allergens, novel foods and ensuring compliance as the food landscape evolves.
ILSI Europe will participate this year with a presentation about the work of Food Allergen Analytics Task Force on food allergen detection: "Adapting Food Allergen Detection Strategies and Technologies in Response to Evolving FAO/WHO Guidelines"

Food allergies affect millions of individuals and pose significant challenges to food safety management worldwide, including the Asia Pacific region. This trend has led to heightened concerns among consumers, healthcare professionals, and food manufacturers, emphasizing the need for more stringent regulations and improved allergen control measures. To address these concerns, regulatory agencies are continuously updating food allergen policies based on the latest scientific evidence.
Hosted by the Asian Life Sciences Institutes Network (ALSIN), comprising of ILSI Asia entities and Shanghai JS Life Sciences Institute, and co-organized with ILSI Global, this conference will provide a platform for scientists, experts, industry professionals, policymakers, researchers, and healthcare practitioners to explore the latest scientific advancements, challenges, regulatory updates, and risk assessment approaches in food allergy prevention and management.
