About About

Dive into the science of nutrition for brain health and cognition

Initiated in 2014, ILSI Europe's Symposium on Nutrition for the Ageing Brain gathers experts to review the evidence supporting how nutrients, food and diet influence brain health.

The 5th edition of the Symposium will take place on 6 & 7 June 2025 in Chania, Crete (Greece) in collaboration with the Mediterranean Neuroscience Society conference taking place from 7 to 11 June in the same location. With this partnership, we wish to reach not only researchers but also clinicians and health practitioners to raise their awareness on the benefits of nutrition for mental health.

BACKGROUND

Food allergies affect millions of individuals and pose significant challenges to food safety management worldwide, including the Asia Pacific region. This trend has led to heightened concerns among consumers, healthcare professionals, and food manufacturers, emphasizing the need for more stringent regulations and improved allergen control measures. To address these concerns, regulatory agencies are continuously updating food allergen policies based on the latest scientific evidence.

Hosted by the Asian Life Sciences Institutes Network (ALSIN), comprising of ILSI Asia entities and Shanghai JS Life Sciences Institute, and co-organized with ILSI Global, this conference will provide a platform for scientists, experts, industry professionals, policymakers, researchers, and healthcare practitioners to explore the latest scientific advancements, challenges, regulatory updates, and risk assessment approaches in food allergy prevention and management. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences, and develop strategies to address current and emerging allergen-related challenges.

Join us in Bangkok and take part in a vital conversation as we collaborate to advance food allergen management in the Asia Pacific region!
