BACKGROUND
Some of the naturals / food ingredients in traditional Indian products have long history of consumption in India but still do not find wide usage in mainstream products restricting their usage. This Seminar is being organized to discuss the importance of such products, health benefits and safety. It will also explore the scientific back up that is already available and the need for further data generation keeping in view the best global practices and facilitating their usage beyond India.

OBJECTIVES
 To look at the components which make food ingredients beneficial for health.
 To review the availability of data to support beneficial aspects of food ingredients.
 To identify the need for additional data generation.
 To explore the applicability of global best practices in Indian context.
 To outline the “Way Forward”
