ILSI 2022 Annual Meeting and Science Symposium:
Schedule of sessions and press registration information now available
WASHINGTON—From June 27-30, ILSI (formerly the International Life Sciences Institute) will host its hybrid Annual Meeting and Science Symposium with nutrition, food safety and public health scientists from around the globe. Both in-person in Brussels and online, this annual symposium will feature seven sessions with presentations on timely, innovative topics, such as managing food safety in the post-Covid era, sustainability practices to help combat climate change, and new technologies to bolster food safety and health.
The 2022 ILSI Annual Meeting and Science Symposium: Toward a Global Community to Achieve a Safe and Sustainable Diet will feature discussions on global initiatives from Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America to improve public health and nutrition science over the next decade. As a multidisciplinary meeting, the symposium will include stakeholders from governmental agencies, academic institutions, nongovernmental organizations and companies within the food and agriculture industries. Schedule of sessions
While ILSI’s Annual Meeting begins on Monday, June 27 with the ILSI Stakeholder Forum, the scientific sessions and presentations will begin on Tuesday, June 28 through Wednesday, June 29. The full roster of session co-chairs, presenters and panelists is available on the ILSI website and in the meeting program.
Note: Events are listed in Central European Summer Time (CEST). Session titles and emphases are subject to change, and panelists may be added or dropped prior to the start of each event.
Tuesday, June 28
- 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. CEST – Progress in technologies and their applications
- 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CEST – Improving nutrition for public benefit
- 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. CEST – Global initiatives to improve population health - What can we learn from each other
Wednesday, June 29
- 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. CEST – Improving the credibility and integrity of nutrition research
- 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CEST – The coming revolution of the Omics sciences: Metabolomics and Foodomics for increased understanding of food nutrients, quality, traceability and health impacts
- 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. CEST – Climate change and sustainability
- 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. CEST – Food safety challenges and opportunities in a post-Covid world

ILSI provides complimentary registration for members of the media covering the Science Symposium. Press can register by sending an email to annualmeeting@ilsi.org. This email should include your name and the news outlet you represent. Please list “Journalist” in the subject line of your email. Press registration will be granted at the discretion of ILSI Global’s communications department.
Note: To be eligible for press registration, you must be employed full-time by a recognized media outlet. If applying for press registration as a freelance journalist, please provide at least three links to articles published by recognized media outlets within the past calendar year.
