Dr. Andrew Roberts from ILSI Research Foundation shared the principle of food assessment for the products of agricultural biotechnology, providing history and setting the context. Dr. Roberts also introduced the open access resources, including the GM Crop Database, the Crop Composition Database and e-Learning courses.
Dr. Wen-Shen Chu of Taiwan Food Industry Research and Development Institute also introduced the regulation and safety assessment for Genetically Modified Foods and Feeds in Taiwan.
