La conducta alimentaria se define como el comportamiento normal relacionado con: los hábitos de alimentación, la selección de alimentos que se ingieren, las preparaciones culinarias y las cantidades ingeridas de ellos. (Osorio et al, 2002).
En los seres humanos los modos de alimentarse, preferencias y rechazos hacia determinados alimentos están fuertemente condicionados por el aprendizaje y las experiencias vividas en los primeros 5 años de vida. En general, el niño incorpora la mayoría de los hábitos y prácticas alimentarias de una comunidad antes de esa edad. (Osorio et al, 2002).
El Comité de Nutrición y Tecnología de Alimentos de ILSI Mesoamérica tiene el gusto de invitarlos a una serie de conferencias virtuales gratuitas, que se llevarán a cabo de manera mensual iniciando en el mes de mayo, 2022.

El Día Internacional de Concienciación sobre la Pérdida y el Desperdicio de Alimentos brinda una oportunidad para hacer un llamamiento a la acción tanto al sector público (autoridades nacionales o locales) como al sector privado (empresas y particulares), con la finalidad de establecer prioridades entre las medidas y avanzar con la innovación para reducir la pérdida y el desperdicio de alimentos a fin de restaurar y reconstruir mejor y de lograr sistemas alimentarios con capacidad de resiliencia. ILSI Mesoamérica forma parte de la Red de PDA de Costa Rica y se une en este día a una serie de eventos que promueven diversas acciones con el fin de disminuir la pérdida y el desperdicio de alimentos que se desarrollan en el sector público y el privado.
De acuerdo con la ONU, en un mundo en el que el número de personas afectadas por el hambre ha aumentado lentamente desde 2014, y en el que cada día se pierden o desperdician toneladas y toneladas de alimentos, es fundamental reducir las pérdidas y el desperdicio. A nivel global, cerca del 14 % de los alimentos producidos se pierden entre la cosecha y la venta minorista. A ello se suma el hecho de que aproximadamente el 17 % de la producción total de alimentos se desperdicia (11 % en los hogares, 5 % en los servicios de comidas y 2 % en el comercio al por menor). About the Workshop
During this hands-on and interactive 2-hour workshop, we walked you through the world of Open Science and, more specifically, how to upload your research to an open repository (Zenodo).
We covered:
- the basics of Open and FAIR principles
- how to upload your piece of work on Zenodo, step by step
- how to publicize, advertise and raise awareness about your work.
Bring along a piece of work that you can make open and want to share on an open repository (dataset, preprint, publication, presentation…).
At the end of the workshop, you can earn a certificate of attendance by filling a short feedback survey.
This workshop was organised in the frame of the EU Funded project FNS-Cloud.

El Día Internacional de la Cultura Científica (DICC) tiene como objetivo evidenciar la importancia de la cultura científica en la sociedad de hoy en día, y celebrar las actividades e instituciones que brindan espacios para que las personas hagan de la ciencia una parte relevante de sus vidas. Se eligió el 28 de septiembre para festejar el aniversario de la fecha en que iniciaron las transmisiones de la serie 'Cosmos', uno de los programas de divulgación más influyentes de la historia.
El DICC se celebró por primera vez en 2020 en nueve países, mediante su difusión en redes sociales, sitios web y medios masivos (boletines, ruedas de prensa, participaciones en programas de radio), la publicación de videos sobre el DICC y la importancia de la cultura científica, y la organización de eventos como webinars, mesas redondas, conferencias y un congreso virtual. Paralelamente a las acciones institucionales de redes de divulgadores, consejos de ciencia y tecnología, centros de investigación, museos y centros de ciencia, universidades y asociaciones civiles dedicadas a la comunicación pública de la ciencia, cientos de divulgadores de ciencia de los nueve países publicaron su testimonio en redes sociales.

About the ICT Congresses
The International Congress of Toxicology was jointly organized by the International Union of Toxicology and the European Society of Toxicology and takes place every two years. This year's theme was "Uniting in Toxicology" and had an inspiring scientific program with plenty of discussions and possibilities to exchange knowledge. Its objective was to promote the scientific state of the art as well as reflection on great achievements in recent years.
