ILSI Taiwan was formally established on July 28, 2013, becoming the sixteenth branch of the ILSI Global network. As a global nonprofit organization, ILSI Taiwan’s mission is to provide a collaborative tripartite approach to topics such as food safety, nutrition, and risk analysis, combining the resources of industry, academia, and the public sector to achieve common goals of improving health and wellness.
The symposium will share the international as well as the United States of America’s approaches and processes on food additive safety assessment, risk communication, harmonization and partnership in regulatory development, as well as technical barriers to trade in relation to food additives.
The symposium features international and local experts with the objective to share their knowledge and experience with local stakeholders. This will be beneficial in future strategic development in managing food contact materials to strengthen consumer confidence in food safety.
